 Michel Berube convicted of murdering wife : After deliberating since lunchtime Tuesday, the jury rejected Berube’s tearful testimony that he fought with his wife over her poor body image, then arrived at their Ste. • Tammy Shaikh

On November 30, 2003, Tammy Shaikh’s husband, former pro-football player, Tommy Kane  stabbed her to death, leaving her four children without a mother. Tammy’s sister, Ava, now cares for her sister’s four children in addition to her own son. Kane is currently serving an 18 year prison sentence for manslaughter.

• Kelly Ann Drummond
